This past weekend, Japanese label Neighborhood teamed up with Adidas to release a collection of footwear and apparel. My favourite of the pack was the I-5923 (formerly known as the Iniki Runner), done in a monochromatic black and white fashion. Done in a simple pink and white colour combination, these are a tribute to Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha, which he wore during the 2018 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Meant as a lifestyle sneaker influenced by the EQT Basketball shoes of the early 90s, these feature a street-ready design with all-day comfort. The latest collaboration between Tokyo-based label BAPE, and Adidas is on the Dame 4 basketball model. Featuring green camo print and signature BAPE details, these were a limited release and a must-have for both fans of Adidas Basketball, as well as the iconic streetwear brand.
