JJJJound released their elevated take on the Adidas Samba late last month – but it wasn’t without controversy. Advertised as a “Made in Germany” shoe, it came to light that the pairs were actually largely manufactured in Vietnam, with only the finishing touches actually done in the European country instead. Heroes in a half shell! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles celebrate their 40th anniversary with this collab with Adidas on the Superstar silhouette! Celebrating the original 1984 look with all-red bandanas, the shoe is crafted using premium green tumbled leather, TMNT dubraes and a ton of other easter eggs throughout. Bad Bunny and Adidas recently dropped a brand new colourway of the Response CL model, this time in a cream-based “Wonder White” makeup. This pair is crafted using genuine suedes along the upper, while still retaining that signature look of past models with Bad Bunny branding, and that “drip” effect along the midsole. Playstation Canada hooked me up with a pair of the recently released Adidas 4D in collaboration with Marvel, to celebrate the launch of the new Spider-Man 2 video game by Insomniac Studios and Sony. Featuring a red Primeknit upper, blue overlays and white stripes (as a nod to Spider-Man’s advanced suit), the 4D midsole represents the Venom symbiote taking over Peter’s costume.
