Today’s review I’m covering the New Balance 2002R “Deep Ocean” from the recent “Suede Pack” that dropped. My second favourite colourway of the four pairs, this one features mesh, suede and nubuck overlays predominantly done in a vintage, washed out blue colour. Today I’m reviewing the upcoming “Mirage Grey” colourway which draws inspiration from the iconic “JP” colour palette made famous on the 1300 model. After being named last year as New Balance Made In USA’s Creative Director, Teddy Santis (of Aime Leon Dore) dropped his first collection last week. Today I’m reviewing my favourite of the three pairs in the set, the 990 V3 in the “Marblehead / Incense” colourway. Salehe Bembury’s final round of New Balance 574 Yurt colourways recently released, and I picked up the Be A Spunge exclusive “Emerald Sky” colourway which I’m reviewing today. This reinvention of the 574 is given a trail and outdoor ready makeover, with a mix of mesh, hairy suede, reflective hits, and of course, the controversial whistle on the heel. Aimé Leon Dore’s take on the New Balance 650R model finally arrived after preordering these last summer. Nearly identical to its lowcut 550 cousin, these feature the same premium smooth leather, cracked leather New Balance “N” logos, vintage coloured midsoles, and Ortholite insoles. In collaboration with Korean-based retailer Slow Steady Club, New Balance dropped a two-shoe 990 V5 set in late March. In today’s video I’m reviewing both of these colourways, one in “Brown” and the second in a white-based “Paper” colour.
