I recently picked up a pair of the New Balance 1906 Utility, also called the 1906N. This pair features a slightly different upper construction than your standard 1906R, with a mix of mesh, leather and synthetic layers. Joe Freshgoods has linked up with New Balance again, reintroducing the New Balance 1000 to the world. This 1999 running shoe was brought back as part of the “When Things Were Pure” collection consisting of two colourways. The one I’m reviewing today is the “Black Ice” pair, which features an iridescent shiny upper, black mesh and a gum outsole. Did any of you also pick up a pair of these?
Comme Des Garçons Homme released two colourways of the New Balance 1906R late last year, one of which I’m reviewing today. The “White” colourway features white mesh with genuine leather overlays, contrasted against a solid black midsole and heel cup. New Balance is dipping into their archives, going back to 1999 to bring back the 1000 silhouette. For my newest video I’m reviewing the upcoming New Balance 1906R “Polka Dot Pack”, which includes these two pairs in my video – the “Sea Salt” and “Phantom” colourways. These are done in inverted fashion with a dotted pattern incorporated onto the mesh base. Meanwhile, genuine leather covers the upper in a surprise, premium twist.
