Stone Island is following up on last years highly successful 574 Legacy collab with New Balance, dropping two new colourways this week. Releasing in “Light Green” and “Dark Green”, these feature a mix of ripstop, genuine suede, reflective panels and more. Today I’m back reviewing another general release New Balance 991 V2! This one is labelled as “Vintage Sport” in an “Off White” colourway, but notably it incorporates hits of red and blue, along with a beautiful gum rubber outsole. Releasing on May 30th is a brand new colourway of the New Balance 993. Named “Sea Salt / Black”, this versatile colourway is built in a mix of white mesh, cream suede, and black overlays. I recently picked up a pair of the New Balance 1906 Utility, also called the 1906N. This pair features a slightly different upper construction than your standard 1906R, with a mix of mesh, leather and synthetic layers. Joe Freshgoods has linked up with New Balance again, reintroducing the New Balance 1000 to the world. This 1999 running shoe was brought back as part of the “When Things Were Pure” collection consisting of two colourways. The one I’m reviewing today is the “Black Ice” pair, which features an iridescent shiny upper, black mesh and a gum outsole. Did any of you also pick up a pair of these?
Comme Des Garçons Homme released two colourways of the New Balance 1906R late last year, one of which I’m reviewing today. The “White” colourway features white mesh with genuine leather overlays, contrasted against a solid black midsole and heel cup. New Balance is dipping into their archives, going back to 1999 to bring back the 1000 silhouette. One of the first general release colourways is this one that I’m reviewing today in “Silver Metallic / Black”.
