Continuing on with releasing 2.0 versions of iconic Air Max 1s, Nike recently brought back the “Keep Rippin, Stop Slippin” Air Max 1, originally from 2008. Looking totally different from the OGs, this 2.0 version features hairy black suede, smooth leather, and deep red coloured hits on the lining and embroidery. Easily one of the strangest sneakers I’ve ever picked up – today I’m reviewing the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2. Postponed due to the passing of BXR founder Chris “Spanto” Printup, these finally were sold to the public in late September. This 2004 Japan-exclusive Air Max 1 is back, with a twist. The “Urawa” colourway pays homage to J League football club, the Urawa Dragons (or Red Diamonds). Releasing originally nearly two decades ago, Nike has brought them back with a reworked colourway, featuring black mesh, and grey and white overlays ontop. Check out my review to learn more!

This vibrant, modern take on this 1980s silhouette features a mix of hairy suede and flat nubuck in a “light menta” colourway.
