My latest review covers another SB Dunk Low, this one inspired by the iconic Atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant”. With elephant print found throughout, along with a teal patent leather swoosh, Nike did a great job incorporating the design of the Air Max 1 onto the Dunk silhouette. New Balance recently released the 2002R, an updated take of the New Balance 2002 model that originally dropped back in 2010. I picked up the “Bone” colourway, which consists of an off-white coloured mesh and pigskin suede upper, along with reflective 3M hits and leather. I recently picked up another New Balance 992, this time in the Navy (M992GG) colourway! This Made in USA incorporates a deep navy blue suede and mesh upper, with reflective 3M hits rounding out the design. The highly anticipated Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” finally landed in Canada, and The Closet Inc. is raffling off their pairs through a SMS phone raffle. Going a bit under the radar, the “Varsity Royal” Air Jordan 3 finally released in North America in October, and I managed to pick one up for my latest review! Similar to the “Red Cement” pair from February, this time the Jordan 3 features a blue tumbled leather upper, the iconic elephant print, and Jordan branding to round out the design. This time we see the classic “Fire Red” colourway get the Off-White treatment, with a yellowed nylon upper, exposed foam padding, and co-branding throughout. Berlin-based artist, Ruohan Wang, and Nike, joined forces releasing a collection of shoes, including the Air Force 1 that I’m reviewing today. Featuring Flyleather, which contains at least 50% recycled leather, these promote sustainability while incorporating a bold, custom graphic throughout the upper. I picked up one of the cleanest looking SB Dunk Highs to release this year from StockX, and finally got them in hand for the review! The Atlas x Nike SB Dunk High “Lost At Sea” is inspired by the Great Spill of 1990 where a storm caused over 60,000 Nike shoes to be lost in the Pacific Ocean, only to wash up on shore later on. These feature a washed out, cracked look to them, and are another beautifully executed Dunk in this Dunk crazed year of 2020.
