Multi-hyphenate creative director Juliana Salazar just dropped her collaboration with Asics. Her take on the Gel-Kayano 14 is full of elegance, with a tonal tan upper crafted out of open mesh and suede. Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance offered another trio of 860 V2s for pre-order last July, and the boldest of the bunch is what I’m reviewing for you all today. As part of this collection, they dropped this China-exclusive colourway of the Kobe 5 Protro, which is dressed in festive colours of red and gold. This iconic sneaker was rebuilt to mimic the look of its original release from 1985. Jordan Brand continues their Reimagined series with the upcoming release of the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic”. This original colourway from 1990 stays true to the original with some twists including grey piping on the edges of the panels, and more reflective detailing on the shoe. Originally a PE that was unveiled in 2022, Jordan Brand brought back an alternate colourway of the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 1 Low, this one being an Asia exclusive. New Balance and Joe Freshgoods honour their incredible 5-year run of collaborations with the reintroduction of the New Balance 992. Going back to where their run started, this 992 “Aged Well” seemingly is a washed out version of their original collab from 2020.
