My Top 10 Sleeper Sneaker Pickups (So Far) of 2020!

2020 has been another crazy year in sneakers – with heat drops coming at us week after week. Lost in the shuffle though has been a ton of super dope releases that a lot of people have been overlooking. Recently, I sat down with Complex to give them my list of my Top 10 sleeper pickups of the year (so far). It was very tough narrowing them down but after getting past all the traditional “hype” releases like Jordan 1s, Dunks, Yeezys, etc. I think I was left with a pretty solid list. Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro QS “Thermography” Review

The Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro dropped to end off August, and it’s one of the wildest executed Dunks I’ve seen in a while! Featuring a black leather upper that reveals a heat map graphic underneath when exposed to direct heat, these are inspired by Germany in the late 80s / early 90s following the fall of the Berlin Wall and the rise in their Techno scene. Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bio Hack” (Baroque Brown) Review

One of the loudest Air Jordan 1s I’ve ever seen released this past Friday with the “Bio Hack” colourway. Inspired by the busy streets and lifestyle of Tokyo, these incorporate a variety of colours and materials, resulting in an in-your-face Jordan 1 that people are clamoring for. Check out my review to get a close up look and let me know what you think about this pair in the comments below!

Air Jordan 3 Retro SE “Denim” (Fire Red) Review

My newest review covers the Air Jordan 3 Retro SE “Denim”. This clean pair of Jordan 3s replaces the traditional elephant print with Denim, and adds more uniqueness by including a translucent heel tab that showcases both Nike Air and Jumpman branding. Watch my video to get a good look at these up close, and let me know if you guys are feeling the look of this pair! Was this a cop or a drop?

Air Jordan 12 Retro “Indigo” Review

Featuring an Indigo-dyed upper that will fade over time, the Air Jordan 12 “Indigo” dropped in late August, and is the topic of my latest review! Looking very similar to the original “Obsidian” colourway from 1997, these feature beautiful shades of blue contrasted with white leather. Nike Dunk Low SP “Samba” Review

My latest review covers the “Samba” Dunk Low from Nike. Originally releasing in 2001 as a Japan-exclusive, these return in 2020 with a wider release! Featuring blue, red and grey leather overlays, they continue Nike’s strong Dunk releases throughout 2020. Check out my video and share your comments down below!

Bodega x New Balance 997S “Better Days” Review

Bodega hooked me up with an early pair of their latest collab with New Balance, with the 997S “Better Days”! Set to drop September 25th, these are the third and final collab between the two on the 997S model, continuing 2019’s “No Days Off” and “No Bad Days” releases. Check out my in-depth review for a closer look and to see how they look on feet!

New Balance 920 “M920NBR” Review

The all-new New Balance 920 has arrived! This brand new silhouette is part of their Made in England line, and combines elements from the 900 and 1000 series of shoes in its design. Mesh, nubuck and suede construction on the upper is complemented by a comfortable midsole with Encap technology. Check out my video for a detailed look and share your thoughts on the design down below!

Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary “Magma Orange” Review

The Air Max 1 returned, true to OG form with the “Magma Orange” colourway. Constructed to be as close to the 1987 originals as possible, these include hits of Magma Orange on the upper for a fresh, summer-ready look.
