As a follow up to their earlier collab last year, Bodega and Asics teamed up again to release a limited run of their Friends & Family colourway of the Gel-Kayano 20 – called “Success In Small Batches”. This understated colourway features brown mesh, grey synthetic overlays, and neon hits throughout. The Nike ACG Izy originally released in the late 90s but finally received its first retro treatment with the release a couple months ago. Over the holidays I picked up this “Khaki” colourway, which has that quintessential winter-hiking shoe look, with a lot more comfort and style. Check out my review to learn more about these!
First released in 2007, the “Black Cat” Air Jordan 3 has finally returned. This black-out colourway features a nubuck upper, shiny patent leather layers, and the signature elephant print but also turned all-black. Given the popularity of the “Black Cat” 4s, it’ll be interesting to see how these fare in today’s sneaker climate! Is anyone picking these up?
In Jordan Brand tradition, to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, they’re releasing a special edition Air Jordan 1 Low OG. This “Year of the Snake” colourway pairs smooth white and grey leather with ripstop nylon (reminiscent of snakeskin) and iridescent accents. New Balance and JJJJound released their newest interpretation of the 2002R silhouette, once again made for the winter weather with Gore-Tex!
