Nike Toronto held a Nike Air Gallery for four local artists, celebrating the Air Max 270 and also serving as a platform to showcase the artists’ creativity, passion and community. Held on Air Max Day, the space held a series of art installations, interactive stations for the public, and a chance to grab a variety of Nike-branded memorabilia for $3.26 each (get the reference?). Probably the most sought after release of this year’s Air Max month calendar, the winner of last year’s Vote Forward contest finally dropped worldwide on Air Max Day. This mash up of an Air Max 1 and 97 by Sean Wotherspoon features a corduroy upper dressed in bright pastel shades that will be perfect for the coming spring and summer. Eleven years after the original release, these released once again with slight variations (but still holding true to the essence of the original), and sold out instantly. After initially releasing in 2017, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner restocked once again this past March. A significant departure from the design of previous Yeezy Boost sneakers, these embodied the “Dad Shoe” wave that has been capturing the hearts of sneakerheads lately. This past Saturday, Sole Exchange Canada hosted their “March Break Lace Up” show in Mississauga’s Grand Victorian Convention Centre. Finally, I was able to make it out to my first ever Sole Exchange Canada show! It was a resounding success, as the venue was filled to capacity, and it was great chopping it up with a ton of old friends and new faces! Another month, another hot Jordan 1 release. This Saturday, the Air Jordan 1 returns once again in an all-new “Game Royal” colourway. Featuring the colour blocking of the iconic “Chicago” Jordan 1 but dressed in blue instead of red, in my opinion these will be a must-cop for Jordan fans everywhere and I fully expect them to sell out on the day of the release!
