Last year, Ronnie Fieg worked with Adidas Originals and Clarks to design and release the 8th Street Samba – a unique twist on this classic Adidas shoe. To close out the year, they released two new colourways on Christmas Day, one in White / Black, and the other a Multicoloured pair. I didn’t get a chance to review these before the year ended, but this past December, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance teamed up again to release a three-sneaker pack inspired by the late 90s, drawing colours from the movie “Belly”. Just when you thought my year was over – I’m back with one final video to close out 2023. Nike Basketball released a brand new take on the Kobe 4 Protro, nicknamed “Gift of Mamba”. Following the protro release of the original “Grinch” Nike Kobe 6 in 2021, Nike Basketball followed it up with a “Reverse Grinch” colourway that released last week. Swapping the original colours, the signature green upper is now red, while red accents and laces are now a vibrant electric green shade. Just making it before the end of the year is this brand new “Midnight Navy” colourway of the Air Jordan 3. Adopting the “Fire Red” Air Jordan 3 colour blocking style, this versatile sneaker opts for dark blue accents that compliment the white leather and elephant print. A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand close off 2023 with one final collab, this time a two-shoe Air Jordan 5 pack nicknamed “Dawn” and “Dusk”. Today I’ll be reviewing the “Dusk” pair, which is crafted using a black nubuck upper, with vintage detailing, and burgundy coloured accents. Just in time for Christmas, Adidas Originals released this Grinch edition of the Forum Low. Opting for a mix of cream coloured leather and shaggy green suede, we also have Christmas red accents throughout, for a festive, but stil wearable result.
