In a surprising collaboration, Klutch Sports founder, Rich Paul, teamed up with New Balance last month to release an elevated take on the 550 silhouette. Happy 2022 everybody! To kick off the new year, of course, I’m back with another New Balance review. This time it’s a general release 992 colourway, M992CP! The second of the two I’m reviewing is the “Brown / Purple” colourway, which features brown and purple coloured nubuck, suede and mesh, with green reflective overlays accented throughout the shoe. Before 2021 ends, I picked up another New Balance shoe. This time it’s the 1500 in the “Slate Blue / Grey” colourway. This made in England pair is incredibly crafted, with quality nubuck in a cool, simple combination of grey and blue tones. Another year is in the books, and what a year for sneakers it has been. 2021 continued to see the rise in popularity of New Balance, Dunks continued to dominate the market, but we also saw a flurry of very creative, well thought out and meaningful collaborations too.
