Salehe Bembury’s next round of New Balance collabs recently released, with his reinvented take on the 574, named the 574 Yurt. I picked up the classic grey or “Shark Skin” colourway, which has a tonal look but incorporates a mixed bag of materials including suede, leather and mesh, and a very unique functional whistle found on the heel. Continuing with their triple collaborations, Sacai and Nike released another LDWaffle colourway, this time partnering up with Hong Kong-based label, Clot. Inspired by the look of the “Kiss of Death” Clot Air Max 1, these LDWaffles feature a translucent nylon upper, along with tan, orange, red and green accents. As Halloween approaches, Nike recently dropped a Dunk that’s fitting for the season. This Premium Dunk Low incorporates smooth sail leather and tumbled black leather, along with glow-in-the-dark graphics on the upper and a fully glowing sole. One of the best Air Maxes to drop this year are these – the Patta x Air Max 1 “Monarch”. The latest Nike Sportswear Dunk Low to drop adopts the familiar colour scheme of the Georgetown Hoyas! With a full leather construction, wolf grey and dark obsidian coloured panels give this pair a classic and very wearable look. Released in September, I finally picked up a pair of the Levi’s and New Balance collab on the 990 V3. Of the two pairs that dropped, I opted for the “Mallard Blue” colourway, which incorporates actual Levi’s Shrink to Fit denim on the upper, along with hairy suede.
