Nearly a decade since they last released, Jordan Brand is finally bringing back the original “White Cement” Air Jordan 4, this Saturday! One of the debut colourways of the model back in 1989, these are retooled to be closer to the OG look. It features smooth white leather with grey, black and red hits of colour – resulting in a wearable and timeless look. Tune into my early review for a closer look!
Just five years after the last retro (that I also happened to review), the Nike Air Tech Challenge II is back in the original “Hot Lava” colourway, as part of Nike’s Cult Classics reissue program. Dropping today, these sold out quickly in North America, but I was lucky enough to find my size in store this morning. Check out my review for a closer look and to see how these are on feet!
Last retroed in 2012, the “Military Blue” Air Jordan 4 returns worldwide on May 4th. This original colourway of the Air Jordan 4 has been brought back two times prior, but this is the first retro to feature Nike Air branding, along with an improved shape that’s meant to look closer to the originals from the 80s. Today I’m reviewing the Saucony Shadow 5000 that is inspired by the Galapagos Islands and one of its native birds – the blue-footed booby! This Saucony x Saucony release has an incredible tropical look and feel to it, with a mix of vibrant blue and green tones, along with neutral suede overlays. Earlier this month, Kith released a trio of releases in collaboration with Adidas. I picked up the Forum Low, which is constructed out of premium white leather, suede overlays, and hits of dark green on the heel, tongue tag and outsole. The Adidas “A to ZX” collection continues with a non-collaboration pair that I ended up loving. The ZX 6000 “X-Ray” reimagines the silhouette with its insides flipped to the outside for us to see. The addition of exposed foam, translucent TPU overlays and visible stitching gives this shoe a very unique and DIY look to it. A full leather upper, fire red coloured accents, and Nike Air cushioning within the midsole completes the look of this all-time classic.
