Joe Freshgoods has linked up with New Balance again, reintroducing the New Balance 1000 to the world. This 1999 running shoe was brought back as part of the “When Things Were Pure” collection consisting of two colourways. The one I’m reviewing today is the “Black Ice” pair, which features an iridescent shiny upper, black mesh and a gum outsole. Did any of you also pick up a pair of these?

One of the first general release colourways is this one that I’m reviewing today in “Silver Metallic / Black”. A mesh upper is complimented with bold, silver synthetic leather layers, designed with a dynamic and fluid appearance. Reaching into the archives from 1999, Asicstiger brought back the classic Gel-Kayano 5, true to OG form, almost twenty years later.
