Kith celebrates their 15th anniversary by joining up with New Balance to drop a brand new model – the 2011. This pair was part of a launch collection of four colourways, designed by Ronnie Fieg and NB’s Sam Pearce. It’s built using a mix of premium suedes and nubucks, and is covered in various green shades – a perfect tie in to the launch campaign centered around Kith’s growth over the last fifteen years. The legendary “Tokyo” Air Jordan 5 from 2011 is back! This incredibly limited pair first dropped over a decade ago, and was a Japan-exclusive that dropped to celebrate the T23 basketball tournament sponsored by Jordan Brand. Nike Basketball brought back this classic from 2011 – the Nike Kobe 6 “Italian Camo”. Built close to the original but tweaked in “protro” form, these feature a camo printed mesh upper, crimson accents, a full length Cushlon midsole, and Zoom Turbo under the forefoot. Australian-based boutique, Above the Clouds, recently released their take on the Asics GT-2160 model. Opting for tones of green, silver and a translucent mesh toe box, these are one of the more creative takes on this 2010-era running shoe that seen a surge in popularity in the past year. This 2011-performance running shoe is now back as one of Asics’ mainstream lifestyle sneakers, featuring a mix of cream coloured mesh and synthetic silver and yellow coloured overlays. New Balance released the 860 V2 silhouette as part of a “Earth and Mars” pack consisting of two colourways. Today, I’m reviewing the “Mars” colourway on my channel, which features a beige mesh and synthetic nubuck build, and the ultra comfortable midsole that we’ve come to enjoy, used on other models like the 2002R and 1906R. Montreal-based brand, Dime, released their collaboration with Asics, with this beautiful take on the 2011 running shoe, the GT-2160. This pair features a mix of cream mesh and synthetic leather layers, with gradient finishes on both the mesh upper and midsole.
