The New Balance Made in USA collection has begun to roll out their Spring / Summer 2025 line, and one of my faves is the “Avocado” 990 V6. This ultra comfortable model is given bright spring tones of green and cream, perfect for the warmer months ahead. One of 2024’s biggest New Balance collabs finally landed in Canada and today I’m reviewing one of the two colourways of the 990 V4 that Auralee collaborated on! The “London Fog” colourway is a beige-based suede constructed sneaker with, mesh and reflective layers, along with hits of pale blue along the heel. Releasing earlier this month was the latest collab between Kith and New Balance. Dropping two pairs, this release consisted of a New Balance 1000, and the pair I’m reviewing today – the 990 V4. This “Moonrock” colourway features a dark beige mesh and suede upper, with cream accents and reflective detailing. And as always, it is made in New Balance’s USA factories. To celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics, New Balance dropped a collection available only at their La Marais store in Paris. Headlining this collection which was designed in part by artist Franck Pellegrino, was this 990 V6. This Made in USA model features a unique blend of colours, and the typical quality materials that New Balance is known for. As part of Aimé Leon Dore’s Spring / Summer ’24 collection, the brand quietly released this New Balance 990 V6 “Incense” to the surprise of many. This Made in USA pair features cream, brown, and beige tones, drawing comparison to the “Mindful Grey” (Cream) general release pair from 2023.
