New Balance recently released their first collaborative project with Carhartt WIP. Headlining the collection was a pair of the 990 V1, done in predominantly navy blue hairy suede and grey mesh. After being named last year as New Balance Made In USA’s Creative Director, Teddy Santis (of Aime Leon Dore) dropped his first collection late last month. Today I’m reviewing the underrated 990 V1 in the “Marblehead / Incense” colourway. Let me know what you think of these and if you grabbed a pair of them too!
New Balance kicked off their 990 Version series with the 990 V1, which celebrates the upcoming 40th anniversary of the model, which debuted back in 1982. This Made in USA pair is done in the classic grey colour scheme, but ruby red hits pay homage to its anniversary.
