Concepts’ latest project with New Balance is a banger. The 990 V4 “Patina” draws inspiration from the idea of antiques, and heirlooms being passed down, and how things get better with age. This pair features great quality suede, and a colour palette that is elegant and beautiful. Watch my review as I cover all you need to know. I don’t think this is a pair you’d want to pass on.
Coinciding with the re-opening of Kith’s West Hollywood flagship store, the brand linked up with New Balance to release four Made in USA pairs, including the one I’m reviewing today. The 990 V4 in “Dusty Mauve” is built using a mesh base, pigskin suede overlays, and reflective details – all in a mature and wearable colour palette. The New Balance Made in USA collection has begun to roll out their Spring / Summer 2025 line, and one of my faves is the “Avocado” 990 V6. This ultra comfortable model is given bright spring tones of green and cream, perfect for the warmer months ahead. One of 2024’s biggest New Balance collabs finally landed in Canada and today I’m reviewing one of the two colourways of the 990 V4 that Auralee collaborated on! The “London Fog” colourway is a beige-based suede constructed sneaker with, mesh and reflective layers, along with hits of pale blue along the heel. Releasing earlier this month was the latest collab between Kith and New Balance. Dropping two pairs, this release consisted of a New Balance 1000, and the pair I’m reviewing today – the 990 V4. This “Moonrock” colourway features a dark beige mesh and suede upper, with cream accents and reflective detailing. And as always, it is made in New Balance’s USA factories.
