I’m back today with a review of the general release New Balance 2002R in “Night Tide / Au Lait”. Opting for a suede construction, these are made in a beautiful mix of deep blues, pale pinks and greys for a very pleasing aesthetic all around. This Made in USA pair features quality suede, nubuck and mesh in a simple, dark, brown shade, along with reflective hits and black coloured accents notably on the midsole and side logo. After being named last year as New Balance Made In USA’s Creative Director, Teddy Santis (of Aime Leon Dore) dropped his first collection a few weeks ago. Today I’m reviewing my second favourite of the three pairs in the set, the 990 V2 in the “Marblehead / Incense” colourway. I recently scooped up a pair of the New Balance 992 for a steep discount so I had to review them for you guys. The M992DA colourway is a Made in US model that features clean, white suede, with loud hits of green and hot pink which make the shoe pop.
