The quintessential Adidas 80s basketball shoe has returned! The Forum 84 High was retroed in “OG” form in late December, featuring the signature white and blue look. Worn famously by Michael Jordan during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic trails, these were the Three Stripes’ marquee basketball sneaker of that era. Releasing last week, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 returned in a bright, bold “Sun” colourway. Looking like a yellowed-out version of the original Wave Runner pair, these incorporate vibrant tones including yellow and orange for a very eye catching look. Swedish-based boutique, Sneakersnstuff, teamed up with Adidas in late 2020 to release their take on the Ultra4D model! Nicknamed “Green Teatime” for its greenish shade, these look similar to the earlier collab, the “Tee Time” Ultraboost, but incorporating Adidas 4D technology in the midsole instead of Boost. I recently picked up another colourway of the Adidas Ultra4D, this time in the super clean “Chalk White” colourway. The Adidas “A to ZX” dropped the ZX 10000 C today, representing the letter ‘M” for Meissen. Meissen is Europe’s oldest Porcelain manufacturer, and this shoe continues their tradition of excellent craftmanship, as it is manufactured in Adidas’ factories in Germany. The Adidas “A to ZX” collection continues with a non-collaboration pair that I ended up loving. The ZX 6000 “X-Ray” reimagines the silhouette with its insides flipped to the outside for us to see. The addition of exposed foam, translucent TPU overlays and visible stitching gives this shoe a very unique and DIY look to it. Imagining what Canadian hero, Terry Fox, would’ve worn in today’s day and age, the Adidas Ultraboost DNA released last week inspired by Fox’s classic blue Orion sneaker. Limited to 2020 pairs, and with 100% of the net proceeds going to the Terry Fox Foundation, these were a must have for my collection. Check out my review to get a closer look!
