This first colourway, “Light Orewood Brown”, features a suede upper, lowered footbed for increased ground feel, and the signature puffy SB tongue, all to make this more performance oriented. Nike’s annual “NY vs. NY” collection is back to celebrate the city’s basketball tournament. This year, one of the drops which I’m reviewing today is this Air Force 1 Low, which is crafted out of white leather, with a gradient style Swoosh, and icy blue outsole. Nike just dropped this two shoe “Tweed / Corduroy” pack, consisting of a Nike Dunk, and the shoe I’m reviewing today – an Air Force 1 Low. Crafted using a mix of premium fabrics such as tweed, corduroy, wool and more, this is the perfect sneaker to wear in the chillier months with a more grown up look and feel. SoleSavy’s fifth custom sneaker, the SS5, recently were offered to members, limited to only 100 individually numbered pairs. Philadelphia-based Garrixon Studios took soles from white-on-white Air Force 1s and rebuilt the uppers entirely from scratch using premium red coloured suedes and nubucks. Ambush recently released their latest collaboration with Nike, on two colourways of the Air Force 1 Low. I picked up the “Phantom” colourway, which is crafted using premium leather, and features the familiar “Ambush touches” we’ve grown accustomed to, like the oversized TPU Swoosh, exposed tongue, and exaggerated heel counter.
