Earlier this week, J Balvin released his fourth collaboration with Jordan Brand, and second on the Air Jordan 3. This “Rio” pair is named after his son, and is crafted using a black leather upper, darkened elephant print panels, and the same gradient look on the midsole and heel that was also used in his previous Air Jordan 3 collab. Jordan Brand brought back the “Green Glow” colour scheme, famously used on the 2013 Air Jordan 4, but this time on the Jordan 3 instead. With similar colour blocking to the “Black Cement” 3, this pair differs as it features suede on the tongue, and vibrant green hits throughout the sneaker allowing it to stand out on its own. This past weekend, we saw the newest release from Jordan Brand’s “Craft” or “Handcrafted” series. These Air Jordan 3s are built using a mix of tumbled genuine leather, smooth leathers, and suede layers, in a clean and crisp colour palette with aged accents. Adopting the “Fire Red” Air Jordan 3 colour blocking style, this versatile sneaker opts for dark blue accents that compliment the white leather and elephant print. Releasing for the first time to the public is a player exclusive version of the Air Jordan 3 that MJ wore as a member of the Washington Wizards. Similar to the “True Blue” colourway, this pair switches things up a bit incorporating the Wizards’ team colours of blue, white and copper.
