Designer Heron Preston Johnson’s collab with Nike dropped uniquely on the NikeID / Nike By You platform where customers were able to design their very own 720/95 model using their own colour preferences and features! Mashing up the Air Max 720 and Air Max 95, this is old meets new and is one of the most eye-catching shoes to drop this year! Check out my review to learn more!
Nike and Laika Studios teamed up once again to release the Air Max Susan – an Air Max 1 inspired by the main character, Mr. Link, of the newly released film, Missing Link! The winning design for New York City from last year’s On Air Contest, Gabrielle Serrano’s “La Mezcla” draws inspiration by what makes NYC great – its people! Taking the Air Max 98 and incorporating a gradient pattern representing the diversity of The Big Apple, these are being slept on big time! Check out my in depth review to learn more!
The fourth colourway of the “Tinker” series of Air Jordan 3s is inspired by the original Air Max 1. Combining two of Tinker Hatfield’s most iconic designs, these Jordan 3s adopt the classic White/Red makeup that the Air Max 1 is commonly known for. Inspired by a 1994 original, the “Blue Lagoon” Air Max2 Light returned earlier this year for the first time. The follow up to 2014’s “Moon Landing” Air Max 90 Lunar sneaker, Nike dropped the “Mars Landing” Air Max 90 QS this past weekend to much hype and fanfare. Covering the upper with print inspired by the surface of Earth’s neighbouring planet, along with 3M hits all over, these are definitely out of this world! My latest pickup is the Nike Air Max 1 Crepe, which dropped in late 2018! Taking the traditional Air Max 1 model, these incorporate a crepe outsole instead of the traditional rubber, and include a variety of materials in the upper including nubuck, corduroy and suede! Check out my review and let me know what you think!
