Recently, I picked up another Nike Air Max 90. This “Chlorophyll” colourway, so far, has been a Europe and Asia exclusive, so I grabbed mine from Sneakersnstuff. Done in “recrafted” form, they incorporate splashes of Chlorophyll coloured hits to accent the simple white and black leather upper. Dropping this past Air Max Day, Nike brought back a familiar shoe but with a twist. Inspired by the 2013 Atmos Air Max 90 “Duck Camo”, this year’s Air Max Day release reversed the Infrared and Black accents, creating an all-new pair for sneakerheads to enjoy in 2020. The second shoe of Nike’s Air Max 1 City Pack has arrived! I picked up the “Amsterdam” colourway recently, which is the warmer-toned counterpart to the “London” pair I recently reviewed. As we usher in 2020, this marks the 30th anniversary of the iconic Nike Air Max 90. Originally releasing in 1990, these have stood the test of time, and have been reintroduced by Nike with a revamped shape – closer to the original release from thirty years ago. London-based creative collective, The Basement, and Nike’s three shoe City Pack was capped off with the “London” colourway – my personal fave! With various shades of grey, this mixed material take on the Air Max 90 dropped in October and utilizes interchangeable swooshes as well.
