One of the debut colourways of the model back in 1989, these are retooled to be closer to the OG look. Asics just dropped this beautiful general release colourway of the Gel-Kayano 20. The “Blue Neptune” pair features a bright blue upper with black and purple detailing, along with neon Gel pods on the midsole. This iconic sneaker was rebuilt to mimic the look of its original release from 1985. This original colourway from 1990 stays true to the original with some twists including grey piping on the edges of the panels, and more reflective detailing on the shoe. Nicknamed “Shadow Split”, it’s use of white and black tones in a wide variety of materials results in an intricate but wearable colourway for every day wear. The Nike ACG Izy originally released in the late 90s but finally received its first retro treatment with the release a couple months ago. Over the holidays I picked up this “Khaki” colourway, which has that quintessential winter-hiking shoe look, with a lot more comfort and style. Check out my review to learn more about these!
First released in 2007, the “Black Cat” Air Jordan 3 has finally returned. This black-out colourway features a nubuck upper, shiny patent leather layers, and the signature elephant print but also turned all-black. Given the popularity of the “Black Cat” 4s, it’ll be interesting to see how these fare in today’s sneaker climate! Is anyone picking these up?
New Balance and JJJJound released their newest interpretation of the 2002R silhouette, once again made for the winter weather with Gore-Tex!
