I’m back today reviewing not one, but two general release colourways of Asics’ Gel-Quantum 360 VIII model. The latest under the Gel-Quantum banner, this model was introduced earlier this year, and these are two of the colourways which I picked up recently. The original “Lightning” colourway of the Air Jordan 17 Low finally received its first retro, as Jordan Brand brought them back in late May just a few weeks ago. Staying true to what MJ wore in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game, it features a soft white leather, chrome detailing, and striking yellow along the TPU on the midsole. Releasing on May 30th is a brand new colourway of the New Balance 993. Named “Sea Salt / Black”, this versatile colourway is built in a mix of white mesh, cream suede, and black overlays. As usual, this 993 is made in the USA and is a great choice for the summer months ahead. Check out my review to learn more!
Earlier this week, J Balvin released his fourth collaboration with Jordan Brand, and second on the Air Jordan 3. This “Rio” pair is named after his son, and is crafted using a black leather upper, darkened elephant print panels, and the same gradient look on the midsole and heel that was also used in his previous Air Jordan 3 collab. Earlier this month Nike dropped a brand new colourway of the Air Max 1. This pair draws inspiration from hot sauce, with a white mesh base, metallic silver “foil” like leather, and speckled red accents on the Swoosh, top eyelets and more. Tomorrow, May 17th, we’ll see the release of the DTLR x New Balance 2002R “Purple Noir”. This exclusive colourway features a unique mix of colours and materials. Grey mesh, black suede, and neon accents are complimented with iridescent purple panels and glow in the dark touches. Check out my in-depth review before you buy them! One of the original colourways of the Air Jordan 1 from 1985 returns tomorrow. The “Shadow” Air Jordan 1 Low first released in 2015, but Jordan Brand has brought them back, featuring a leather and nylon upper in black and grey tones. Capitalizing on the current trend of Y2K running shoes turned everyday sneakers, Nike relaunched the Air Pegasus 2005 model. This new colourway that released a few months ago features a mix of black, red and pink tones. Striking in colour as it is comfortable. Check out my review to learn more!
