The incredibly popular “Dark Mocha” Air Jordan 1, which dropped first in 2020 as a high top, returns later this week as a Low. Featuring the same look with a sail leather base, black leather overlays and dark mocha coloured nubuck, these are the perfect shoe to wear in the fall months ahead!
Last month, New Balance dropped a series of city exclusive colourways of their 991 V2 silhouette. Each pair is regional specific, like the “Yellow” pair I’m reviewing today which was an Asia-Pacific exclusive sold only in Melbourne and Seoul. Just five years after the last retro (that I also happened to review), the Nike Air Tech Challenge II is back in the original “Hot Lava” colourway, as part of Nike’s Cult Classics reissue program. Celebrating Toronto’s diversity and multicultural make up, these feature a mix of materials like leather, nylon and 3M, in familiar skyline (and Blue Jays) colours of white, blue and red. For my latest review, I picked up a pair of the Hoka Restore TC, which is a recovery shoe that intrigued me with its unique design. To celebrate the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Nike SB released the “Electric Pack” which is headlined by the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro. Also nicknamed the “Olympic Safari” pack, these feature the iconic Nike safari print on the upper, with black leather and suede hits along with bright blue laces to add some pop. The latest under the Gel-Quantum banner, this model was introduced earlier this year, and these are two of the colourways which I picked up recently. The original “Lightning” colourway of the Air Jordan 17 Low finally received its first retro, as Jordan Brand brought them back in late May just a few weeks ago. Staying true to what MJ wore in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game, it features a soft white leather, chrome detailing, and striking yellow along the TPU on the midsole. Releasing on May 30th is a brand new colourway of the New Balance 993. Named “Sea Salt / Black”, this versatile colourway is built in a mix of white mesh, cream suede, and black overlays. As usual, this 993 is made in the USA and is a great choice for the summer months ahead. Check out my review to learn more!
