Earlier this week, Kith released their special collaboration with Madison Square Garden, dropping two colourways of the New Balance 990 V6. Inspired by the teams that call MSG home, the pair I’m reviewing today draw inspiration from the team colours of the NBA’s New York Knicks. This Made in USA pair features cream and grey base layers, along with the signature orange and blue that have made the Knicks one of the most recognizable sport franchises in the world. As part of Kith and Adidas Originals fall 2023 lineup, I picked up one of the shoes that released – the Rod Laver. Named after the Australian tennis great, this shoe dates back to the 70s and has been more of a cult classic sneaker that has retroed a few times throughout history. This new colourway for Kith though is clean, minimalistic, and perfect for those not looking to boldly display a company’s logo on their feet.

Crenshaw Skate Club’s first collab with Nike SB recently dropped, releasing this beautiful homage to Crenshaw on the Dunk Low silhouette. Inspired by the neighbourhood, this pair mixes and matches materials including cracked leather, suede, and leather overlays mimic the look of oxidized metal signs. Earlier this month, Miami-based boutique, UNKNWN, released a special collaborative colourway of the Nike LeBron 20 called “Message in a Bottle”. This pair is a more premium take on King James’ 20th signature model, with hairy suede, genuine leather, and details such as a glow-in-the-dark Swoosh and outsole!
