Stone Island Marina dropped their newest project with New Balance, this time turning their attention to the skateboarding silhoutte, the 272. Dropping in three colourways a few weeks ago, today I’ll be reviewing this summer-ready “Ochre” (Yellow) colourway which pairs soft suede with canvas in two tones of yellow. Artist Nina Chanel Abney just dropped her second collaborative project with Jordan Brand, this time creating a unique spin on the Air Jordan 3. This women’s release saw a striking green upper crafted out of suede and canvas, while a cream midsole and outsole toned down the green along with orange accents. I’m back with another (lifestyle) review of the Nike Book 1. This is the recently released “Rattlesnake” colourway which dropped earlier this month, and it features a white leather upper, snakeskin patterned Swoosh, and burnt orange accents to complete the look. Part of Nike’s World Make series, this pair of the Air Max 1 ’86 represents Korea, and is crafted using a unique mix of materials as a nod to this fashion hub. Featuring layers of tumbled leather, canvas and hemp-like textiles, these are an interesting spin on Nike’s “Big Bubble” version of the Air Max 1. Watch my review to learn more!
Supreme recently released another collaboration with Nike Skateboarding, featuring both a Dunk Low and High, inspired by the work of the late NY-based artist, Rammellzee. Featuring his artwork printed on canvas layers, the shoe is accented with bold, black suede throughout and a gum rubber outsole.
