2025 is the Year of the Snake, and Nike is honouring the lunar calendar and its ties to Kobe Bryant, naming this year the Year of the Mamba. As part of this collection, they dropped this China-exclusive colourway of the Kobe 5 Protro, which is dressed in festive colours of red and gold. Shenzhen-based boutique, Costs, is set to release their follow up collab with Saucony, again with a Kinvara 4 RE silhouette. This “Meterorite Sand” colourway brushes the entire shoe with a clay-like, red toned finish, while pairing the synthetic layers with premium nubuck, and an iridescent Saucony logo on the side. Shanghai-based skateboard shop, Fly Streetwear, recently dropped a collaboration with Nike SB on the Dunk Low Pro silhouette, inspired by the famous Gardenia flower from China. Nike’s Lunar New Year collection included these Dunk Lows, which mimic the look of the 2011 Air Force 1 which also celebrated the Year of the Rabbit. With a white, blue and red makeup, these are inspired by the colour scheme of the famous Chinese candy, White Rabbit.
