Concepts has teamed up with New Balance again to release another currency themed project. This time, they draw inspiration from the legendary $1000 bill from 1890, and what better model to execute it on than the NB 1000! Earlier this month, Concepts released the second colourway from their champagne-inspired New Balance 740 pack – this one called “Brut”. This lifestyle model features a lightweight mesh upper, reflective panels, a gradient colour scheme, and a chunky Abzorb midsole. Even though summer is over, Concepts’ latest collaboration with Asics gives us that reminder of warmer days gone by. This “Out of Office” colourway of the Gel-Kayano 14 features tropical tones of cream, red and neon green, dressing up this popular runner as if its on vacation. Concepts just released this special edition take on the New Balance 1906 called “Hours and Days”, which pays homage to its 2012 “SEAL” collab on the 999 model. Featuring a mesh base with a variety of overlays in different materials, textures and colours, these still channel the soul of the SEAL 999 even though it’s on a brand new silhouette over a decade later. One of the greatest New Balance collaborations of all time is back. The Concepts 998 “C-Note” originally released in 2013 and quickly gained cult status. Fast forward a decade later, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the shoe has returned nearly identical to its original form. Bringing back a 2015 Gel-Lyte III colourway, Concepts and Asics reintroduced this familiar colourway earlier this month with the Gel-Lyte V “Libertea”. Concepts and Nike SB recently dropped their sixth iteration of lobster-themed Dunks, with the “Orange Lobster” colourway. Featuring a nubuck-like upper in various tones of orange, a checkerboard tablecloth inspired liner remains as usual, and a black midsole for contrast. Concepts completed their three-shoe “Message to the Universe” Nike Air Max 1 pack by dropping the final “Far Our” colourway on Air Max Day, 3.26. Definitely the most colourful and vibrant of the three, it features textiles and patterns worn by music festival goers in the 1960s, and came with a special box and extras!
