Last year, Ronnie Fieg worked with Adidas Originals and Clarks to design and release the 8th Street Samba – a unique twist on this classic Adidas shoe. To close out the year, they released two new colourways on Christmas Day, one in White / Black, and the other a Multicoloured pair. I didn’t get a chance to review these before the year ended, but this past December, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance teamed up again to release a three-sneaker pack inspired by the late 90s, drawing colours from the movie “Belly”. Shenzhen-based label, Costs, recently dropped another Asics collaboration, this time on the GT-2160 silhouette. Inspired by “Shao Ji”, a traditional bamboo woven basket, these are crafted in cream tones, with navy blue accents, in a mix of mesh and suede. Ronnie Fieg hit me up and sent me a pair of the upcoming Kith x Asics Gel-Lyte III “Blush”. The first in his “By Invitation Only” style of releases, these are supposedly not going to be available in store nor online – but only to those who have a special QR code invitation to purchase via the Kith mobile app. Check out my review to get a closer look at one of the most beautiful colourways I’ve seen in a while!
