Japanese fashion brand, Auralee, recently released their latest project with New Balance. This time they collaborated on the 1906R model in two colours, and in today’s video I’m reviewing the “Bone White” colourway. Ronnie Fieg worked with Adidas Originals and Clarks to design and release the 8th Street Samba – a unique twist on this classic Adidas shoe. Sold out quickly, and then offered up again as a pre-order earlier this year, I finally got my hands on the pair I ordered – the “Summit White” colourway. J Balvin is back with his third collaboration with Jordan Brand – this time releasing a beautiful pair of Air Jordan 3s inspired by the Medellin sunset, the city he calls home. Featuring a cream coloured tumbled leather, aged edges, and a gradient feature on the heel tab and midsole, these were an instant sell out when they dropped a few weeks back. Joe Freshgoods’ latest project with New Balance saw the release of 500 pairs of the 650R model, imaging what it would have been like if Michael Jordan signed with New Balance instead of Nike back in 1984. This premium take on the 650R features a mix of tumbled leather and suede, in a vintage looking cream, grey and white mix. Check out my review and let me know if you think this is just hype, or heat.
Aimé Leon Dore brought back a 1982 tennis sneaker from New Balance – the T500. Releasing as part of the brand’s Fall / Winter 2023 lineup, they dropped in three colourways. Today, I’ll be reviewing my fave of the three, the “White / Green” pair, that features quality leather uppers and vintage colour blocking atop a classic, clean, silhouette design. Releasing a couple months ago as a Kith in-store exclusive, the Asics GT-2160 dropped in two Kith-exclusive colourways, including this one in “Cream / Solar Power”. This 2011-performance running shoe is now back as one of Asics’ mainstream lifestyle sneakers, featuring a mix of cream coloured mesh and synthetic silver and yellow coloured overlays.
