Palace Skateboards recently released their New Balance 580 collaboration consisting of two colourways. Today I’m reviewing the more conservative of the two pairs, “Gargoyle / Lapis Blue”. This pair pays homage to the classic New Balance grey tones, and is crafted using a mix of hairy suede and mesh. South Korean streetwear label, thisisneverthat, recently dropped their latest collaboration with New Balance named “The 2022 Downtown Run”. Part of this collection consisted of the 1906R, a reworked take on the 2009 running shoe. Is New Balance striking gold again just like they did with the 2002R a few years back? Amsterdam-based boutique, Patta, continued their line of “Wavy” Air Max 1 collabs with the release of the “White / Pure Platinum” colourway late last month. Featuring a reworked wavy mudguard, it incorporates a clean palette of white, grey and silver resulting in a very simple but wearable shoe.
