Another month, another New Balance 1890 release. This time, the brand linked up with JJJJound to release two minimalistic takes on the new and popular lifestyle model. The Progrid Paramount was launched in ’07 as a performance runner – but Saucony has brought it back in 2026 as a lifestyle model. This particular pair is a joint project with A-Feeling, coming from the mind of Drew_Bar (formerly of Bodega). Check out this gorgeous colourway and learn more about this model – as I’m sure Saucony will be launching a ton of colourways throughout the year!
With Toy Story 5 releasing a week from now, Adidas teamed up with Pixar to release a three-shoe pack. I picked up the Adistar Control 5, which is inspired by none other than Buzz Lightyear. Hidden NY continued their partnership with Asics releasing their take on the Gel-Kinetic 2.0 earlier this month. This new model from Asics is a unique silhouette with a white mesh upper, FF Blast+ foam, Scutoid Gel cushioning and more. It also draws inspiration from mid 80s Macintosh-drawn artwork. New Balance continues their push of the 1890 silhouette, with this upcoming collaboration with Stone Island. Releasing two colourways, today I’m reviewing the “Covert Green” pair, which is done in the quintessential Stone Island olive green colour. Built using ripstop nylon, TPU overlays and genuine suede, it’ll be curious to see how these sell when they release on June 4th! Is this a cop or a drop for you?
Nigel Sylvester just dropped his newest Air Jordan 4 collab, taking last year’s release and expanding on the story. The “Brick After Brick” colourway draws similarities to the “Fire Red” 4s but features unique touches like 3M side panels / tongue, an embroidered mini swoosh, and “Bike Air” on the heel tab. Earls Collection, founded by former pro-rugby player Lewis Brown, released their second collaboration with Asics earlier this month. This pair is inspired by Brown’s upbringing, the concept of home, and translates it perfectly onto the Gel-Cumulus 16 model. One of the best Asics shoes to release this year is the Lapstone & Hammer collab, nicknamed “The Spark”. This take on the Gel-Kayano 12.1 is both simple but premium, with genuine leathers, canvas and suede used, along with a simple colour palette with a bit of pop.
