After taking an L on the initial release, I’m finally able to give you guys my review of the debut “Mikročpske” colourway of the Action Bronson x New Balance 2811. This pair was a must have for many – with a chunky silhouette with colours inspired by European emergency and police vehicles. On my recent trip to NYC, I picked up this lowkey collab between New Balance and Aime Leon Dore on the Gator Run. Originally a turf training shoe from 1982, the brand has brought these back as a lifestyle model. This collab features top notch quality in a simplistic palette. Check out my review to learn more!
JJJJound’s newest New Balance collab sees their familiar beige / mushroom tones cover the 740 silhouette. This pair, which dropped at the end of July, features a sleek, no-sew upper made of mesh and TPU overlays. A chunky Abzorb midsole provides comfort, while navy and red accents give the shoe some pop. Concepts’ latest project with New Balance is a banger. The 990 V4 “Patina” draws inspiration from the idea of antiques, and heirlooms being passed down, and how things get better with age. This pair features great quality suede, and a colour palette that is elegant and beautiful. Watch my review as I cover all you need to know. I don’t think this is a pair you’d want to pass on.
Another month, another New Balance 1890 release. This time, the brand linked up with JJJJound to release two minimalistic takes on the new and popular lifestyle model. The Progrid Paramount was launched in ’07 as a performance runner – but Saucony has brought it back in 2026 as a lifestyle model. This particular pair is a joint project with A-Feeling, coming from the mind of Drew_Bar (formerly of Bodega). Check out this gorgeous colourway and learn more about this model – as I’m sure Saucony will be launching a ton of colourways throughout the year!
With Toy Story 5 releasing a week from now, Adidas teamed up with Pixar to release a three-shoe pack. I picked up the Adistar Control 5, which is inspired by none other than Buzz Lightyear. This perfectly themed shoe features white mesh, colourful hits of green and purple, and more! Check out my review and let me know if anyone else is liking this design!
Hidden NY continued their partnership with Asics releasing their take on the Gel-Kinetic 2.0 earlier this month. This new model from Asics is a unique silhouette with a white mesh upper, FF Blast+ foam, Scutoid Gel cushioning and more. It also draws inspiration from mid 80s Macintosh-drawn artwork. New Balance continues their push of the 1890 silhouette, with this upcoming collaboration with Stone Island. Releasing two colourways, today I’m reviewing the “Covert Green” pair, which is done in the quintessential Stone Island olive green colour. Built using ripstop nylon, TPU overlays and genuine suede, it’ll be curious to see how these sell when they release on June 4th! Is this a cop or a drop for you?
