South Korean streetwear label, thisisneverthat, recently dropped their latest collaboration with New Balance named “The 2022 Downtown Run”. Part of this collection consisted of the 1906R, a reworked take on the 2009 running shoe. Is New Balance striking gold again just like they did with the 2002R a few years back? Amsterdam-based boutique, Patta, continued their line of “Wavy” Air Max 1 collabs with the release of the “White / Pure Platinum” colourway late last month. Featuring a reworked wavy mudguard, it incorporates a clean palette of white, grey and silver resulting in a very simple but wearable shoe. Dropping on September 2nd is the second colourway of the Tom Sach x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe. This unassuming pair features a knitted upper and a simple rubber cupsole which encases an EVA foam layer for comfort. Today I’m reviewing one of the biggest sneaker drops of the year – the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mocha”. Utilizing similar details like the oversized reverse Swoosh, Cactus Jack branding, and more, this colourway changes things up by opting for a brown nubuck with white leather overlays, and red accents for added pop. This morning, Stussy dropped their latest Nike collab – releasing their version of the Air Max 2013 in three colourways. My fave of the pack was the “Fossil” pair, which replaces the Hyperfuse and mesh found on the OGs and replaces it with a hemp and canvas textile upper instead.
