My review of one of the biggest drops to end off 2021 is here! James Whitner, A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand’s collaboration on the Air Jordan 1 “Airness” gives the AJ1 an elevated makeover. A cracked leather upper is accented with burgundy coloured faux snakeskin overlays, and a quilted liner. Menwear label, Todd Snyder, continued their rich history of New Balance collabs with the release of the “Stony Beach” 57/40. Comme des Garcons recently collaborated with Nike to release two pairs of the Air Foamposite One. Done in a simple all-white and all-black makeup, the Foamposite sees its upper shell get a makeover for the first time in history. The sequel to the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 recently arrived, with the “Noise Aqua” colourway! Switching things up, the Amsterdam-based boutique swaps the classic Air Max 1 midsole with a wavy one, creating a small but distinct change that surely will catch people’s attention. My latest review covers the recent Stone Island x New Balance collab! Working together on a performance running shoe, the FuelCell RC Elite V2, was a bit of a surprise. Their take changes up the look however with a ripped-up appearance, exposing a mesh base layer, and oversized logos of the two respective brands. Continuing with their triple collaborations, Sacai and Nike released another LDWaffle colourway, this time partnering up with Hong Kong-based label, Clot. Inspired by the look of the “Kiss of Death” Clot Air Max 1, these LDWaffles feature a translucent nylon upper, along with tan, orange, red and green accents.
