Adidas recently launched a new silhouette called the Adizero Aruku, which draws inspiration from a 2000s Japan-exclusive running shoe called the Adizero PR. Featuring Swirlfoam technology in the midsole done in a motion-promoting rocker style, these are an incredbly dynamic feeling sneaker under foot. Last year, Ronnie Fieg worked with Adidas Originals and Clarks to design and release the 8th Street Samba – a unique twist on this classic Adidas shoe. To close out the year, they released two new colourways on Christmas Day, one in White / Black, and the other a Multicoloured pair. The Adidas “A to ZX” collection continues with a pair I was very excited for: the ZX 8000 in collaboration with both BAPE and Undefeated! Combining two of Adidas’ best – the Ultra4D debuted this week, incorporating the Ultra Boost 1.0 upper with the futuristic 4D sole. Done in a black and purple based colourway as a nod to the first ever colour of the Ultra Boost, these are a long overdue release that a lot of Adidas fans have been anticipating for a while. Foot Locker Canada hooked me up with the latest Ultraboost model, the Ultraboost 20! In collaboration with the International Space Station National Lab, these feature a reworked upper, atop the same chunky Boost midsole from the 19 model but dressed in an iridescent space-themed colour! Adidas’ latest entry into the “Dad Shoe” market is the Yung-1 model, which was inspired by the late 90’s silhouette, the Falcon Dorf. Adidas Canada sent me the debut colourway, in an eye-catching navy and red combo. Check out my review and let me know what you think of them!
