Following a pre-order offered last July, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance’s latest 860 V2 collaboration finally began landing in consumers’ hands in late January. This three-shoe pack included the pair I’m reviewing today, which is covered in a an off-white coloured mesh with cream synthetic overlays – resulting in a tonal, simple, but easy to wear shoe. This past weekend, we saw the newest release from Jordan Brand’s “Craft” or “Handcrafted” series. These Air Jordan 3s are built using a mix of tumbled genuine leather, smooth leathers, and suede layers, in a clean and crisp colour palette with aged accents. Featuring the popular brown and cream tones that are ever popular these days, it still retains that signature chunky look that the model is known for. Australian-based boutique, Above the Clouds, recently released their take on the Asics GT-2160 model. Opting for tones of green, silver and a translucent mesh toe box, these are one of the more creative takes on this 2010-era running shoe that seen a surge in popularity in the past year. I finally picked up a pair of the Asics Gel-NYC! This new lifestyle silhouette which debuted earlier this year, has released in a variety of colours and today I’ll be reviewing the “Concrete / Oatmeal” pair. Inspired by past silhouettes from Asics’ archive, these feature a mix of mesh, suede, and synthetic panels, giving it a mid 2000s design flare. Check out my review to learn more!
J Balvin is back with his third collaboration with Jordan Brand – this time releasing a beautiful pair of Air Jordan 3s inspired by the Medellin sunset, the city he calls home. Featuring a cream coloured tumbled leather, aged edges, and a gradient feature on the heel tab and midsole, these were an instant sell out when they dropped a few weeks back.
