I recently picked up a pair of women’s Dunks, in a cool colour scheme utilizing shaggy suede on the upper. This “Photon Dust / Light Armory Blue” colourway has a simple look to it but has a bit of a worn-in and aged aesthetic to it due to the use of the suede. My review of the ultra hyped SB Dunk collab between Born X Raised and Nike SB is here! Postponed due to the passing of BXR founder Chris “Spanto” Printup, these finally were sold to the public in late September. Inspired by the Japanese book, A Dictionary of Colour Combinations, this Nike SB Dunk Low features a vintage, aged looking suede upper in orange tones. blue and teal, along with a yellowed midsole and outsole. Releasing alongside another colourway in a similar theming, these released recently in skateshops which is where I picked these up from. What do you think of this pair – cop or drop?
Nike pays homage to their Co.JP line of sneakers from the late 90s / early 00s with the release of these Dunk Low Premiums! Nicknamed the “Brown Snakeskin” colourway, this beautifully crafted pair features a snakeskin-printed leather, aged suede, and debossed leather as well. Nike Sportswear recently released a special edition version of the Dunk Low, celebrating the famous bagels from Montreal, Canada. Releasing in Canadian shops with a special edition Montreal-themed box, these are leather built on the upper with sesame seed prints throughout, and a gum rubber outsole.
