The V7 is here! New Balance’s legendary 990 line is finally introducing its 7th iteration to the world on November 6th. The V7 features a retooled midsole with dual density Fuelcell, Encap, and the introduction of a TPU torsion plate for added stability. Up top, pig suede, tumbled leather, mesh and synthetic suede give wearer’s a twist on the familiar NB Grey. The newest Pharrell Williams and Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish is set to release in this bold “Red / Black” colourway. Releasing on October 24th, this head turning pair features multi shades of red, along with blue-grey accents which add a ton to the shoe’s look. New Balance released a new model, the 2811, for Action Bronson exclusively. Following up on the debut “Mikročpske” colourway, a second pair was recently mysteriously being sold on the GOAT app for under retail. I picked one up to see how they were – and safe to say, I’m impressed. This colourway features genuine suede and leather, in cool tones contrasted against a black Abzorb midsole. After much speculation and rumours, Union LA, Fragment Design and Jordan Brand are finally dropping their Air Jordan 1 collaboration. Releasing in three limited colourways, today I’m reviewing the “Royal” colourway which mashes up the bottom of the Air Jordan 1 “Royal” with the upper of the “Metallic Navy”. Adidas and Australian-based boutique, Up There, teamed up to release a new silhouette honouring their home city of Melbourne. The Adidas Melbourne features a white mesh base, with suede and leather overlays which are inspired by a track spike worn during the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. My favourite sneaker of all time is back – the iconic “White Cement” Air Jordan 3! This year’s version, which celebrates 35 years of the Air Jordan 3, is given a vintage treatment with aged midsoles and backtabs. However, the rest of the shoe has been recrafted to be closer to the look of the originals from 1988! Nike and Social Status continue where they left off with the release of their latest collab, this time on the Nike Air Penny 2! Releasing in two colourways, the first is set to drop on October 13th but they sent me over an early pair which is why I was able to upload an early review for you guys now! Bodega hooked me up with an early pair of their latest collab with New Balance, with the 997S “Better Days”! Set to drop September 25th, these are the third and final collab between the two on the 997S model, continuing 2019’s “No Days Off” and “No Bad Days” releases. This coming Saturday, August 15th, the Jordan 5 returns in an all-new “Alternate Bel-Air” colourway. The unofficial sequel to the 2013 release, these incorporate a white leather based upper with patterns and colours reminiscent of the 90s.
