SoleSavy recently brought back a second colourway of their custom SS1 silhouette, manufactured by Garrixon Studios in Philadelphia. Utilizing genuine Air Jordan 1 soles, the upper is built from the ground up using premium materials, with a colour palette inspired by the Kith x Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation x New Balance 998 “Chutney”. SoleSavy’s fifth custom sneaker, the SS5, recently were offered to members, limited to only 100 individually numbered pairs. Philadelphia-based Garrixon Studios took soles from white-on-white Air Force 1s and rebuilt the uppers entirely from scratch using premium red coloured suedes and nubucks. SoleSavy’s third community custom sneaker, the SS3, recently arrived and today I’m reviewing them! This pair was actually designed by a group of 180 SoleSavy members, and the design was executed and built by Garrixon Studios in Philadelphia. In this joint project with Philadelphia-based Garrixon Studios, 800 individually numbered pairs of these bespoke Air Max 90s were handmade and sold exclusively to SoleSavy members. This time, this pair draws inspiration from the Parra x Patta Air Max 1 “Cherrywood”, and feature premium quality materials and flawless craftsmanship.
