Following up to the highly successful Yeezy Boost 700 model, Adidas released a V2 version to close out 2018. With an all new upper, the “Static” colourway features a mesh upper with overlays of nubuck and reflective 3M, to create a very sleek looking sneaker. To close out 2018, Adidas dropped one more Yeezy Boost 350 V2, this time in a static-patterned primeknit. Most notably, these also replaced the traditional stripe on the lateral side with translucent netting, giving the wearer a unique opportunity to add their own flavour through their sock game. These chunky runners fit the theme of today’s sneaker trends, but are they simply too “out there” from a design perspective to be embraced by the majority of sneaker aficionados?
After initially releasing in 2017, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner restocked once again this past March. A significant departure from the design of previous Yeezy Boost sneakers, these embodied the “Dad Shoe” wave that has been capturing the hearts of sneakerheads lately.
