The legendary Wu-Tang Dunk High is finally getting a proper release on November 9th! Once considered a mythical grail sneaker with only a handful in existence, this is one of those pairs most collectors never imagined they’d ever be able to own. I recently picked up the “University Gold / Black” Zoom Vomero 5 by Nike for under retail. A bright and bold colourway that offers a little something different stylistically, while still retaining incredible comfort that the model is known for. Saucony joined up with Parisian boutique, Starcow, to drop this masterpiece of a colourway of the Progrid Omni 9. Releasing late last week, this colourway features various shades of green along the upper in a combination of mesh, genuine suede, and more. Hints of orange provide some pop along with subtle golden accents as well. Check out my review and see how these are on feet!
Australian boutique, Up There, is set to release their latest New Balance collab, this time releasing a colourful take on the 860 V2 sneaker. Dropping at the end of October, these feature a blue mesh base, green synthetic nubuck overlays, brown detailing, and pink laces. A random mix of colours but somehow they just work! New Balance recently launched the 14th generation of one of their most popular running shoe lines – the 1080. Taking a similar approach to last year’s V13, it still features a breathable, flexible mesh upper, along with a beefy Fresh Foam X midsole which provides maximum cushioning and softness. Recently, I scooped up this GR colourway on deep discount, with the brown tones of this sneaker making it a perfect accompaniment with a lot of fall outfits. Releasing earlier this month was the latest collab between Kith and New Balance. Dropping two pairs, this release consisted of a New Balance 1000, and the pair I’m reviewing today – the 990 V4. This “Moonrock” colourway features a dark beige mesh and suede upper, with cream accents and reflective detailing. And as always, it is made in New Balance’s USA factories. Jordan Brand continues their “Reimagined” series with the release of the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe”. Mimicking the look of the prototype version without the iconic “Wings” logo, this pair features quality leathers on the upper in the classic red, white and black make up. Shenzhen-based boutique, Costs, just launched their newest collaboration, this time with Saucony on the Kinvara 4 RE silhouette. Part of the “Infinite Galaxy” pack, this takes the archive running shoe model but updates it with premium materials like an iridescent Saucony logo on the side.
