I’m ringing in the new year with a review of a brand I’ve yet to cover – Salomon. Last week, Kith dropped a 3-pair collaboration, including this white-based XT-4K model that I’m reviewing today. Kith’s latest project with Madison Square Garden saw the release of three New Balance models – a 991 V2, and two Numeric 480s which fall under the brand’s skateboarding line. As part of Kith’s Winter ’24 line, they dropped a couple of Asics collaborations, including the Gel-Nimbus 10.1 that I’m reviewing today. This pair features white mesh, with silver synthetic leather and TPU overlays resulting in a dark, winteresque vibe. The upper of this shoe is also paired with the tooling of the Gel-Kayano 14, resulting in a familiar but still new fusion. Releasing earlier this month was the latest collab between Kith and New Balance. Dropping two pairs, this release consisted of a New Balance 1000, and the pair I’m reviewing today – the 990 V4. This “Moonrock” colourway features a dark beige mesh and suede upper, with cream accents and reflective detailing. And as always, it is made in New Balance’s USA factories.
