2025 is the Year of the Snake, and Nike is honouring the lunar calendar and its ties to Kobe Bryant, naming this year the Year of the Mamba. As part of this collection, they dropped this China-exclusive colourway of the Kobe 5 Protro, which is dressed in festive colours of red and gold. The first Kobe sneaker to release following his untimely passing, the Kobe 5 Protro “Big Stage / Parade” kicked off Mamba Week with a limited drop this past week. Done in a split fashion, one side is inspired by the Big Stage colourway from 2010, and the other taking tattoo-like graphics from the Parade PE colourway.
