This mashup silhouette takes a 2000 Adidas running shoe with the tooling from the Adidas BYD, blending old school with new technology. After much speculation and rumours, Union LA, Fragment Design and Jordan Brand are finally dropping their Air Jordan 1 collaboration. Releasing in three limited colourways, today I’m reviewing the “Royal” colourway which mashes up the bottom of the Air Jordan 1 “Royal” with the upper of the “Metallic Navy”. This pair draws inspiration from the diverse landscapes of Louisiana (where Sneaker Politics was founded), opting for a variety of materials, textures and tones. With the last few days of 2025 upon us, Concepts dropped a banger with this collaboration with New Balance. Australian-based boutique, Up There, surprised the world with the sequel to their recently released “Natsukashii” Asics Gel-Kayano 12.1. This fall ready sneaker just dropped by Asics in collaboration with Australian-based boutique, Up There. The Gel-Kayano 12.1 is a mash up silhouette and this time it utilizes earthy tones like grey mesh, shiny green overlays and if you look close, red pops along the tongue and outsole. Two industry giants – Levi’s and Nike, teamed up to drop a three shoe collection of the Air Max 95. Today I’m reviewing two of the pairs – the “Black” and “White / Ecru” colourways, which dropped last week. The Air Max 95 is dressed in distressed denim along the upper, with Levi’s red tab branding on the heel, insole and outsole. Stone Island Marina dropped their newest project with New Balance, this time turning their attention to the skateboarding silhoutte, the 272. Dropping in three colourways a few weeks ago, today I’ll be reviewing this summer-ready “Ochre” (Yellow) colourway which pairs soft suede with canvas in two tones of yellow.
