Australian-based boutique, Up There, surprised the world with the sequel to their recently released “Natsukashii” Asics Gel-Kayano 12.1. The Gel-Kayano 12.1 is a mash up silhouette and this time it utilizes earthy tones like grey mesh, shiny green overlays and if you look close, red pops along the tongue and outsole. Two industry giants – Levi’s and Nike, teamed up to drop a three shoe collection of the Air Max 95. Today I’m reviewing two of the pairs – the “Black” and “White / Ecru” colourways, which dropped last week. The Air Max 95 is dressed in distressed denim along the upper, with Levi’s red tab branding on the heel, insole and outsole. Stone Island Marina dropped their newest project with New Balance, this time turning their attention to the skateboarding silhoutte, the 272. Dropping in three colourways a few weeks ago, today I’ll be reviewing this summer-ready “Ochre” (Yellow) colourway which pairs soft suede with canvas in two tones of yellow. I picked up my first ever pair of the Asics Gel-Nunobiki, with this pair being part of the 6-pair collection released in collaboration with Kith. This “Delicioso / Pure Silver” colourway features a matcha-like green synthetic upper along with brown mesh and silver accents. Ronnie Fieg is tapping into this brand new New Balance silhouette, the Abzorb 2010, releasing two colourways this coming Monday, May 19th. The one I’m reviewing is the beautiful “Purple” colourway, which features a mix of purple mesh, pig suede and synthetic nubuck layers.
