Japanese fashion label, Auralee, released a two pair set of the New Balance 2002R earlier this year. Today I’m reviewing my favourite of the two, the “Yellow / Beige” colourway which incorporates soft suedes and nubucks in vintage tones of yellow, beige and cream. Early last month, Kith and New Balance released a new take of their iconic “Steel Blue” colourway, this time on the ultra popular 990 V3 model. This Made in USA pair features Kith’s signature blue shade, with dark grey suede overlays completing the familiar look. Joe Freshgoods and New Balance are back again, which is always a good thing. This time their latest collab features three colourways of Made in USA 993s, named the “Performance Art” pack. Opting for pastel colours, the trio of green, blue and pink are accented with grey mesh, and cream coloured laces and midsoles. Once a rare Japan-exclusive colourway from 2001, the “Argon” Dunk made its return recently after over twenty years! This classic colourway features a leather upper in two tones of blue, along with white coloured accents for contrast. South Korean streetwear label, thisisneverthat, recently dropped their latest collaboration with New Balance named “The 2022 Downtown Run”. Part of this collection consisted of the 1906R, a reworked take on the 2009 running shoe. Is New Balance striking gold again just like they did with the 2002R a few years back? Dropping on September 2nd is the second colourway of the Tom Sach x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe. This unassuming pair features a knitted upper and a simple rubber cupsole which encases an EVA foam layer for comfort.
